Today we’re happy to share and talk about a new upcoming digital art collective “Hysterical Minds”. Discover more about this project in a short interview with one of the administrators. And be amazed by the skilled designers in some exclusive desktop material.

Wallpaper Art: Hey Martin, you are one of the administrators from Hysterical Minds, can you tell us something more about you and Hysterical minds?
Well, Hysterical minds is the histrionic name of an Hispanic artists group that is growing up fast. Hysterical Minds born as a response to the big amount of Hispanic artists in the art group scene and the art world in general. We thought we had a chance and a empty space to cover bringing our countries this online art group movement in our own idiom and sharing together a kind of “similar Latin cultures” and interesting information, collaborations and work contacts in our own places. As it’s obvious we have strong references from other art groups but we try to do the things “our way” paying not much attention to the paths others traced before and also we try to develop “our own style”. Finally we think that a collective should have real projects, not just online exhibitions, and we constantly are thinking on next goals and trying to make “physical” our work in the real world.

Wallpaper Art: As a collective, you release specific expressions. Can you tell us something more about the past expressions and what can we expect in the future?
We usually alternate between freestyle and thematic releasing, it makes the work more fluid.
Our art collections had an obvious improvement in the last year, but I think we are not yet in the quality point we want to develop, but we still trying to match it and I hope we will never stop the improvement search. Standing still is a big mistake for a group.
Our strongest points are digital painting and vector, but what may be the “surprise” in the next pack would be the photography, where we improved much lately. Our last release was a freestyle art pack.

Apart of the next exhibition, we will release in the next months two books. One that is a retrospective of our works, like an artist catalog, where all our artists gonna participate. The other one is a fantasy themed art book we gonna develop for a real publisher working mostly as “a studio”. The money we would get gonna be used for another kind of projects we have in the backpack which I cannot comment.

Wallpaper Art: We’re definitely looking forward to the new expressions! What can our readers do if they want to become part from the collective?
Just to apply in our web’s application area, but to speak Spanish is mandatory.
